YES-Positive Change
If you're standing on the railroad tracks and a train is coming - at FULL SPEED, don't you think it makes good sense to get off the tracks BEFORE the train hits you? This is exactly the situation that now exists concerning the health of the next generation. If the next generation remains on the same "tracks" they are currently on, their generation will become the most unhealthy generation of modern times. YES, this now requires Positive Change.
Medical experts are now stating that the life expectancy of the next generation will be shorter than the previous generation. With the level of physical activity decreasing from one generation to the next, the prospect of remaining healthy is also decreasing. YES - this must change.
It's important for children to have an opportunity to exercise and play on a regular basis. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to provide opportunities for their children to play and have fun through quality exercise. This must change.
YES-Positive Change is a health initiative by YES-Athletics that provides an opportunity for parents to be parents and kids to be kids. This initiative makes it practical and affordable to organize exercise / running clubs for young children and their friends, that are MORE than just a running club. The YES-Training System is a "cross-training" system that's FUN.
Each YES-Running Team / Club is actually three teams / clubs in one! an Exercise Club - - - a "Multi-Sport" Club - - - an ENDURO Health Club
The word ЄNDURO means - a long race. The effort that's needed to help todays children become a healthy generation will be "a long race. Our definition of ЄNDURO Health: a life-long race for long-term health. We believe very child must be successful in their personal, day-to-day "Race for long-term health". __________________________________________________________________
● HOW YES-Running Clubs / Teams are organized: YES-Running Clubs are sanctioned through YES-Athletics.
It's easy to start a YES-Running Club. And, it starts by forming your first TEAM. Each Club is made up of small (4 Member) Teams. Members of each team are the same grade and gender. Teams practice and compete together, with a Team Leader (parent) who organizes practices and team activities. Parents can take turns as their Team's Leader. Parents should determine who the other parents and children will be who are invited to join their team. Parents shall organize the teams within each club. However, parents must have the approval of the Club Coordinator before forming a new team. There should not be a limit on the number of teams that are formed within any local YES-Running Club unless approved by YES-Athletics. The Teams within each Club can be for any grade and gender, and there can be any number of Teams for each grade/gender. All YES-Running Clubs/Teams are sanctioned through Youth ENDURO Sports, Inc. (A current YES-Running Club application must be on file.)
● Want to involve a sibling or friend of a different grade or gender? Simply create another team that can practice at the same time and location. Remember, the teams for both siblings are in the same YES-Running Club.
Each Team meets at any convenient location with an open field, such as a park, a church, a school playground - - - anywhere children can safely run and play - preferably on grass.
● Parents - - - team up with other parents to help make your child's team a success. By teaming up with other families that you TRUST, each parent (family) can take turns picking up the other teammates to go to Practice and then returning them home. For example, each parent could provide a full month of practices for their child and only have to coordinate transportation for the team 2 days each month, which is practical for almost any parent's work schedule. ( Each YES-Running Team should have only four team members - - - your child + 3 others.)
● Clubs - - - team up with your Club / League Coordinator for all the details. Each Club/Team will be provided with training ideas, rules and instructions for ENDURO Ball, effective games and drills for practice, information about YES-Running Game Days and Certification Days, and tips on ENDURO Health Habits.
Prior to the start of each season, parents can determine how much and which activities their team wants to do. Their team can then register and pay the appropriate fees for that season to secure a place for their Team in that season's YES-Running club and/or league activities. Approximate cost of fees: Game Day (club level): no cost Game Day (league level*): $5/team - per Game Day Certification Day: $2/team member - per Certification Day
more than just an exercise / running club PRACTICAL - - - More Training - - - More Exercise - - - More Sports - - - more AFFORDABLE a unique "cross-training" system that's FUN
*(requires two or more YES-Running clubs in the area that have at least five teams in each division) |
